Hawaiian Body Work
Come out of your head & into your body
Come out of your head and back into your body.
Some of us spend so much time thinking, planning, analysing and doing that we lose touch with what it feels like simply to be in our bodies.
We carry the weight of busy lives in our shoulders, our breath and the way we hold ourselves, often without even noticing.
Hawaiian bodywork offers another way back to yourself. Drawing on KaHuna Bodywork and Heartworks Lomi Lomi, it is a flowing, deeply restorative practice that works with the whole person: body, mind, heart and spirit.
Why I practise this work
I first came to Hawaiian bodywork for myself.
I was spending far too much time in my head and wanted to find a way to reconnect with my body. What began as a personal exploration became something much deeper.
I continued my training through Level 5 in KaHuna Bodywork, experiencing for myself how powerful it can be to stop thinking, analysing and doing, and simply allow yourself to receive.
It is an incredible experience, and one I now have the privilege of passing on to others.
For me, Hawaiian bodywork sits naturally alongside coaching and astrology. Where those work through reflection and insight, bodywork offers another path back to yourself: through the body.
A flowing, whole-body experience
Using hands, forearms and elbows, I move around the table in long, flowing strokes. The rhythm is continuous and wave-like, so rather than feeling worked on one area at a time, you experience your body as a connected whole.
KaHuna can be rhythmic and dynamic, while Heartworks Lomi Lomi brings a slower, more meditative quality. Both invite you to stop doing for a while and simply receive.
As the body softens, the mind often follows. Many people find themselves letting go of tension they hadn’t realised they were carrying and settling into a level of relaxation that can be difficult to reach in everyday life.
There is nothing you need to achieve, analyse or work out. The experience is simply an opportunity to be present in your body.
Sessions
90 minutes: $230
120 minutes: $305
For a first experience, I recommend two hours. The extra time allows your body to fully settle and let go.
Who it’s for
Hawaiian bodywork is for anyone who feels stressed, depleted or disconnected from themselves, as well as those who simply want to slow down, switch off and experience being cared for.
It can be particularly powerful if, like me, you have a tendency to live in your head and find it difficult to stop thinking and simply be.
No previous experience is needed, just a willingness to slow down and receive.
Your body is part of your wellbeing too.
Let’s find your equilibrium.
